Silence

Silence 04:06
Dark space, under the ground I'm hoping these four walls come tumbling down One room and nowhere to run Praying for something more but all that I hear is the silence, the silence... Somewhere, out in the light they say I did them wrong, well I know I'm right Why won't you give me a chance? Oh but the only sound that reaches my ears is just silence, just silence... Just silence, just silence... Deep breath, open the door and take me to that place, I'm bleeding I'm raw You say, admit to your crime I say the only thing you'll get out of me is my silence, my silence... My silence, my silence... The silence, the silence Why must we keep the silence The silence, the silence Why must we keep... People all over the world, come raise a flag for peace, let's see it unfurl Justice is more than a word so let me hear that sound, you know what it means it's no silence, no more silence, I say No silence, no more silence

The Grieving 06:21
You wake up in the middle of the night Hear a sound - you've known this moment "Come out now I know you're here" "Say bye to the children dear Tell them, I'm always with you" The door breaks open and they push you to the ground Though you stay calm, your face says: You won't harm me, no won't shame me You won't bring me down Bruise or bleed it, I don't feel it Burn this body out Are you looking for denial? They keep you in a little, darkened room No real bed, without a window You pray to God when they bring you up You tell the truth but it's not enough for them, you are a sinner Feared like an animal, a criminal to blame But you stand tall, embracing You won't harm me, no won't shame me You won't bring me down Bruise or bleed it, I don't feel it Burn this body out But you will never get denial? "Good God! Give it up! And we will loose these chains and bring you water" "Come on, toe the line" "One word, one reply You only have to choose to make it better" But I know, oh I'm sure they will never let you out of here All that I am, all I believe you can't destroy, so why must they grieve They're all just the same in here They're all just the same in fear They are the nameless ones They are the faceless ones, going nowhere

about

My first single: a two-songed release written to help raise awareness of the plight of the Yaran - seven Baha'is in Iran who are currently serving twenty-year sentences simply because of their faith. It is also for all people who are being imprisoned for their beliefs.
